Yikes! I was just about to go spend the rest of my afternoon ironing those “oh so pretty” platinum pieces for Art Fair, when it dawned on me that it was Wednesday already. That means blog day here at TGO for me. Where has this week gone? Time flies when you are having fun I guess. Monday I was still in slightly overcast Florida. It was a nice short little girls weekend, but I had a great time (in case you were wondering). Tuesday was an even better day for me. I got a NEW CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited. Well, at least new to me, its a used 2011 Kia Soul, but insert swoon here, I am in love. I had my other car since I was 18 when I had bought it brand new in 1998. Do the math….I’ve had it for quite some time.
Oh today! We had a little Kindergarten adventure here at MJC and TGO. Gabe’s class came for a tour of Matilda Jane to learn how it works behind the scenes. The class takes turns visiting the work places of the parents. It was so much fun. We gave them a tour of the “warehouse” and walked them through how an order was pulled, packed, and shipped. Each kid got to pick out an outfit for themselves; TGO for the boys and MJC for the girls. They also got to ship it to themselves, so in a couple of days, it will be a fun little treat to get at their homes.
Every student also designed a Joey Bag. We will send them off to our seamstress and then deliver them to the students when they are finished. They were crazy cute! Almost all of them used the ice cream cone fabric! How cool to be in Kindergarten and to have a little bag to hold all your things, that you designed yourself.
Snack time and then they all had time to create works of art on the packing tables with permanent markers. I think that was everyone’s favorite part!…lol After a class picture, they loaded up for the trip back to school.

It was a fun afternoon, but I think that we could all use a nap. I don’t know how little ones have as much energy as they do! No time for naps though, the folks at TGO are working on a little mini photo shoot, for perhaps a mini release!….;)
