Tour Blog 3: “I called it!”

Franklin drives.

(Unless he’s too tired, and then Bullfrog takes over. But nobody can sleep when ‘Frog’s behind the wheel—it’s a miracle the tires stay on the wheels!)

The rest of us scramble for the best seat, the second best seat, and so on. We try to take turns, but sometimes we need to start from scratch. Yep, we draw straws. It’s fair, sure—but so intense!

Being on tour sounds awesome, and it is. The reality is we have an hour or two of excitement, surrounded by looooooong stretches in the van, driving to the next city. We work on songs, do homework, read comics and play all those road trip games—”I spy with my little eye…,” counting license plates, and all the rest. We tell old stories, and we make up new ones.

We’re always game for new ideas—what’s your favorite road trip game?

Melissa T - We LOVE road trip games. Favorite is where we name a type of car(such as red van) and the first person to see one driving is the winner and picks the next item (like police car)…you get it :) FUN times and makes the ride go quick :)

Carrie Plummer - We always love playing that game where you pick a word, then the next person has to share a word that begins with the last letter of the previous word. (i.e. car, rollerskate, energy, yo-yo) Passes the time and even sneaks some educational-type action in there!

denise - We love these ideas! Gonna tell the band. Jamie, yours is a bit morbid—bonus points for identifying the animal?
